Bought a $200 clipper set off a shady site, garbage in 2 weeks

Ordered from a random deal page I saw on my feed. Saved maybe $80 compared to the real stores. Package came in a plain box, no logos anywhere. Motor died on the second week doing a fade. Tried to fix it, plastic gears stripped out. Checked the serial number, it wasn't even a real model. Stuck with a cut halfway done and a useless brick. Anyone else got burned on counterfeit gear from those pop-up ads? Stick to your normal suppliers, trust me.

Realize that those pop-up deals are just the same pattern as everything else now, if the price is too good it's always hiding some catch somewhere. I've seen it with phone chargers and even car parts, people chase the savings and end up paying double in replacement costs or time wasted. Idk maybe it's just the world we live in now, but that lesson usually only sticks after getting burned once.
