That trick of sticking my butter in the freezer for 10 minutes saved my pie crust
I've wrecked about 4 pie crusts this year because the butter kept melting before I could work it into the flour, even with ice water. Last weekend I cubed the butter and threw it in the freezer for 10 minutes first, and the dough finally came together without turning into a greasy mess. Does anyone else freeze their butter first, or is there a better way to keep the dough cold?
