Vent: my aunt says a boxed mix beats scratch every time, and I'm not sure she's wrong
She made a yellow cake from a $2 Duncan Hines box at Easter in Columbus and it came out fluffier than my scratch one, which needed 3 tries to get right. So now I'm stuck: is scratch baking actually a skill thing worth the trouble, or do box mixes just win on texture for most people? Tell me which side you're on and why.
