The midnight screening where the projector died twice and we cheered harder
Last Saturday I hit a midnight showing of this 1987 sword and sorcery knockoff called 'Blade of the Crimson Warlock.' The acting was so stiff you could use it for scaffolding, but then the film snapped right during the big final battle. The crowd actually cheered when it broke, and again when they spliced it back together. Has anyone else had a glitch that made a bad movie even better, or do you prefer your trainwrecks clean?

Spliced chaos beats a clean trainwreck every time.

Oh man, YES. Absolutely this. I had a project fall apart completely last month and the chaos version we threw together at the last minute actually ended up being the best thing we made all year. When you stop trying to keep everything neat and tidy, you can just focus on what actually works. The messy parts have character and soul, you know? Clean stuff always feels stiff to me, like nobody really tried anything risky. Give me the weird broken bits any day, that's where the real magic lives.
