Appreciation post: rewatching The Room back to back with Birdemic finally made me get it

Last Friday I did a double feature with two buddies, The Room at 8 and Birdemic at 10. We spent the first hour of The Room laughing at the football toss, but by the second movie I realized both have this weird sincerity that makes them work. The Room has Tommy Wiseau's total commitment, while Birdemic just has terrible CGI eagles and zero energy. Comparing them side by side showed me that bad movies need at least one person who believes in it, otherwise you're just watching a boring mess. We ranked 14 scenes on a 1 to 10 cringe scale, and The Room won 9 to 2. Has anyone else tried pairing two so-bad classics to see which one holds up better on rewatch?
