Trail junctions in the Winds need better signs, got lost near Island Lake
Hit the Wind River Range last week and the junction markers around Island Lake were faded so bad I took the wrong fork for 2 miles. Anyone else run into this, or know if the Forest Service has a fix planned?

Wait, are you serious? Faded paint is bad enough but you actually followed the wrong trail for 2 whole miles before figuring it out? That blows my mind. Island Lake is no joke either, there's real terrain up there and one wrong turn can put you way off course. I get that the Forest Service is stretched thin but a can of paint costs like nothing and those junctions get tons of traffic every summer. People plan trips around that area for years and then get sent the wrong way by a marker that's basically invisible. Hope you still made it to your camp alright.
