Was sure I didn't need a stud welder, now I use mine every week

I fought buying one for years, figured my glue-pull kit was fine. Last month a 2018 F-150 with a creased quarter panel came in, and the glue kept popping off on the second pull. Borrowed my buddy's unit for that job, bought my own two days later. Any of you still on the fence about picking one up?

Got mine after fighting with a dent puller on a rusty Tacoma bed, gave up and borrowed one from a guy down the road. That same weekend I ordered my own and I'm not gonna lie, it paid for itself on the second job. The glue kit still works for light stuff but anything with a sharp crease or thicker metal and it's just a waste of time. The little welder nails the spot every time and I can pull a dent clean in half the time now. Kinda pissed I waited so long to be honest, it's one of those tools you don't know you need until you actually use it once.

Bought my first one after watching a buddy pull a fender dent that had me convinced was totaled, and I felt like an idiot for all the years I spent hammering and cursing. The first weld I did looked like a spider had a seizure, but once I got the hang of the pin placement, it was night and day. Still keep the glue kit around for the tiny stuff on my own beater, but yeah, anything with real shape to it and I'm reaching for the welder every time. You ever mess with the slide hammer attachments or do you just stick with the puller?
