That Tuesday where everything went sideways, 3 write-offs in one day

Back in 2019 I was at this shop near Akron, and one Tuesday we got three cars that were all declared total losses by the insurers. First one was a Subaru that looked fine from the outside, but the frame rail was twisted like a pretzel. Second was a minivan with hail damage so bad the adjuster didn't even finish measuring. Third was a pickup that had a cracked unibody mount hidden under a bumper that looked repairable from the lot. We spent like 6 hours stripping panels and taking photos for the claims, only to see all three towed out that afternoon. My foreman just said 'some days the insurance companies eat, some days they starve us' and we went back to sanding. Has anyone else had a single day where every estimate you wrote came back as a total loss?
