TIL that adding a bit of detail to my asks works wonders
Honestly, I used to get vague replies until I included what I already tried. Ngl, it cuts down on repeat posts and people actually engage more.

From my experience helping troubleshoot tech issues, a clear problem statement with steps always gets better responses than a huge block of text. It's about being specific, not just long.

On Reddit I'll bullet point what I tried, but on Stack Overflow I write it like a mini report. The right amount of detail totally depends on where you're asking. I mean, the culture of each forum changes what people expect to see.
