Pro tip: I found a way to get better answers when you ask for help online

I was trying to fix my old lawnmower last week and kept getting stuck. I'd post in forums asking 'why won't it start?' and just got a bunch of guesses. After three tries, I changed my approach. I took a short video of the exact sound it made when I pulled the cord, mentioned I'd already checked the spark plug and fresh gas, and said 'it's a 2012 Craftsman model.' The next reply I got pinpointed the issue right away: a clogged carburetor jet. That saved me hours. I guess being super specific with the problem and what you've already tried cuts out all the basic suggestions. Has anyone else found a trick like this for getting faster, more accurate help when you ask a question online?

It also helps the next person who finds your post with the same problem.

Honestly, a clogged carb jet is like lawnmower problem number one. That's the first thing anyone would check on a small engine that won't start with good gas and spark. I'm glad you got it fixed, but calling it a 'pro tip' feels a bit much. It's just common sense to give details. People post those vague questions because they're frustrated, not because they've discovered some secret forum hack.

Sounds like common sense, not a pro tip.
