My client asked for a logo in 24 hours and then ghosted me after I sent the first draft

I was working from my home office in Portland yesterday when a new client emailed me a huge rush job. They wanted three logo concepts by the next morning. I pulled an all-nighter, sent the files over at 8 AM, and... nothing. Radio silence for the whole day. I even checked the email tracking to see they opened it. Has anyone else had a client just vanish after you delivered on a crazy deadline? What do you even do next?

Sometimes that first draft is too good. They get exactly what they wanted right away, panic about the budget, and freeze up. A gentle follow-up asking for specific feedback can break the spell.

Ugh, that is the WORST. Happened to me last month. Sent a rush website mockup and got total ghost mode for a week. A short follow up email finally got a "Oh yeah, looks great!" reply. So frustrating.

Ever think maybe they just needed that week to really look it over? A quick "looks great" might mean they actually liked it and just got busy. Sometimes the quiet time is them doing their job, not ghosting.
