Lost a whole morning's context on a dig survey because my notes app froze
Was doing a walkover survey out near a dry creek bed in western Colorado last month and my notes app froze right as I was logging a scatter of lithic flakes. I had about 40 points pinned on a map and 3 pages of context notes, and none of it saved. I switched to writing everything on a waterproof notepad with a pencil and taking a photo of each page with my phone before moving to the next spot. Took maybe 2 extra minutes per stop but I never lost a thing after that. Has anyone else had a field app eat their data, and what did you switch to?
