That one window in the old train station got me hooked on shooting Tri-X at 400
I was killing time at Union Station in Kansas City last month and noticed the afternoon sun coming through that huge arched window on the west side. The light hit the marble floor in this soft gold stripe and I burned through a whole roll of Tri-X 400 just watching people walk through it. What got me was how the grain in the shadows matched the texture of the old stone, like the film was made for that exact spot. Now I keep going back around 4pm just to catch that light. Anyone else find a spot near them that basically shoots itself?
