Hot take: I switched from stand developing to regular agitation and I'm not sure it was the right call
Last month I shot 6 rolls of HP5 at a friend's wedding in Phoenix and had to pick one way to develop them all. I went with regular agitation at 1+49 for 11 minutes instead of my usual stand method at 1+100 for an hour, mostly because I was tired and wanted to be done before midnight. The negs came out fine but the highlights look a little punchier than I like and I'm wondering if I lost some of that smooth mid tone look I was getting before. Stand gave me softer contrast but I always got weird streaks near the sprockets, and regular agitation fixed that but made everything a bit harder to print. So which side are you on, do you deal with the streaks or do you lose the highlights? I keep flipping back and forth and honestly I can't tell if I'm overthinking it.
