The ranger at Letchworth told me to stop stacking rocks at the overlook and I still think he was wrong
Stopped at the big gorge overlook in Letchworth State Park two Sundays ago and this ranger walks up while I'm building a small cairn with my nephew. He says leaving stacked rocks disturbs the soil and bugs under them, which honestly felt like a stretch for a gravel patch. I get not painting rocks or carving names, but a 6 inch stack that falls over in a week seems pretty harmless to me. Steve, if you're on here, I'm curious what the actual rule is at other parks. Has anyone else gotten grief for something this small?
