Chose a $15 log book over a fancy app for my woodworking shop
After 3 spreadsheets got too cluttered, I picked up a plain graph paper notebook and a .50 cent pencil to track every cut and board. It's slower to write down but I actually stick with it, plus sawdust doesn't kill the battery. Anyone else find paper wins out for shop records?

Back up a second. You tracked every single cut and board in three spreadsheets? That sounds less like a workflow issue and more like you are running a one man lumber yard. Writing things by hand is fine, but calling it a win because sawdust kills batteries feels like you are overthinking this whole thing. A 15 dollar notebook and a pencil are not some big system, they are just a slower way to do the same job. If it works, cool, but do not act like this is some deep discovery. You are cutting wood, not rebuilding a 747.
