Wasted $60 on cheap contact sensors lesson learned

I bought a 10 pack of generic wireless sensors off Amazon for $60 thinking I was getting a deal. Three of them died within 2 months and the other 7 have terrible range. Now I'm spending more time troubleshooting false alarms than actually installing systems. Has anyone else had bad luck with budget sensors or did I just pick the wrong brand?

Yeah, I used to be one of those "buy off brand, save a buck" guys myself. But after going through three different cheap sensor kits in one year, I finally learned the hard way that you really do get what you pay for with this stuff. "Three of them died within 2 months" hit close to home, I had almost the exact same experience with a pack from some random Chinese brand. False alarms are the worst part too, because they make you second guess every notification you get. I'd rather spend a little more up front than waste hours swapping batteries and re-pairing things.

Three different cheap sensor kits in one year" damn that's rough. Though I gotta say, not all off brand stuff is the same. Some of those random Chinese brands are literally the same hardware as the big names just with different firmware. You just gotta find the right ones.
