Warning: the $130 borescope I bought for a 737 panel check saved the day in Tampa
Last month I grabbed a cheap USB borescope for about $130 to look inside a wing access panel we could not get a good angle on at our Tampa hangar. I figured it was another tool I would use twice and forget, but the camera found a loose connector the flashlight and mirror totally missed. My lead said "good catch" and we caught it before it turned into a bigger write up. Now I am wondering if the pricier articulating ones are actually worth it or if I just got lucky with this one. Anyone here run a cheap one for years without it dying on them?
