Unpopular opinion: a senior on my hangar floor says torque specs are gospel and feel is cheating, but I think both are wrong
He made that remark after I checked a fuel pump bolt by hand at our shop in Wichita last Tuesday, and now I'm stuck wondering if trusting the click is really safer than knowing the part, so how do you all split the difference when a spec sheet doesn't match what the metal tells you?
