Shoutout to the Anchorage hangar lead who made me log torque values by hand again
For about 6 years I tracked every torque value in a spreadsheet on the shop laptop, and I felt pretty smart about it until last Tuesday when the laptop died mid-job on a flap actuator at our Anchorage hangar. Our lead pulled out a paper log sheet and made me write down all 14 fastener values by hand before we closed it up. Turns out the paper sheet is faster to sign off and nothing gets lost when the battery goes. Any of you still keeping a paper torque log or has everyone moved to a tablet?
