Pro tip: stop torquing fuel line B-nuts by feel, I learned that one the hard way
Had a young guy on my crew swear he could feel when a B-nut on a PT6 fuel nozzle line was snug, said he'd done it a hundred times. Two flights later we found a weep at the ferrule on the number 3 line and had to pull the whole manifold in Wichita at 11pm. Now I hand him the small inch-pound wrench every time and tell him the spec isn't a suggestion. Anyone else got a shortcut they had to unlearn?
