I finally beat that stubborn oil filter housing on a CRJ200 today

We had this CRJ200 in the hangar all morning with a weeping oil filter housing gasket, and the last guy who touched it had torqued the damn thing like he was building a bridge. I spent a solid 40 minutes fighting it with the standard socket before I tried a swivel adapter and a short extension, which gave me just enough angle to break it loose without pulling the whole accessory gearbox. My lead walked over and said "nice save, I was about to tell you to drop the oil pan," and honestly that made my week. The part was only $12 but the labor would have blown up the schedule if we had to drain everything, so I felt like a genius for ten minutes. Anyone else run into filter housings that are just impossible to reach without the right adapter stack?
