TIL toast settings on air fryers are a lie, just use 350 for 4 minutes
Saw a post on here saying the toast button doesn't actually adjust anything, it just runs a preset timer. Tried it on my Gourmia at 350 for 4 minutes last night and got perfect golden brown on sourdough. Has anyone else found a better time or temp for thicker bread like Texas toast?

I actually disagree, my Gourmia's toast setting gives me a way better crust on Texas toast than 350 for 4 minutes ever did, I've had nothing but burnt edges with that temp and time combo.

Wait, @noaht15 are you preheating the Gourmia first? Because that's the game changer nobody talks about. My Gourmia has this issue where if I just throw the bread in cold and hit toast, the heating elements spike way too fast and scorch the edges while the middle stays soft. But if I let it run empty for like 2 minutes on 350 first, then pop the Texas toast in for 3 instead of 4, I get an even golden crust every time. Also try flipping the bread halfway through, my Gourmia's bottom rack runs hotter than the top.
