Walked into the old Blockbuster building in my hometown, now it's a self driving shuttle depot
I was back in Toledo last month and drove past the old Blockbuster on Secor Rd, which has been like 4 different things since 2013, and now it's a garage for a self driving shuttle company with sensors all over the lot. Ten years ago I was picking out DVDs there with my kid brother, and now the same building has cars that drive themselves down the same streets we used to bike on. Does anyone else feel weird when AI stuff shows up in places you have real memories tied to?
My buddy had the same thing happen at the old mall food court where he used to work, a robot now makes his coffee there. Seeing new tech in spots tied to your past hits different, like your memories got an update you didn't ask for.
