The 1950s coffee pot stat that made me pause mid-pour
I stumbled on a museum placard in Pittsburgh last month saying the average household in 1950 brewed coffee once every other day, not daily like now. I grew up with my grandma's afternoon pot at 3pm sharp, so that felt backwards. Anyone else track how often their family brews compared to what they expect?

Ha, that stat feels totally backwards to me too. My people brewed a pot every single morning like clockwork, and I'd bet most folks in the 50s did the same, the placard must've counted only fancy drip machines or something. I mean, my grandma would've laughed at the idea of going a whole day without coffee, so I'm calling that one a fluke.
