Serious question, the guy at the 24 hour laundromat on 5th told me my socks were "haunted" and I have not stopped thinking about it

It was 2:30am on a Tuesday and he pointed at my dryer and just said that. I asked what he meant and he shrugged and went back to his sudoku. Has anyone else gotten a weird comment from a stranger in the middle of the night that just lives in your head rent free?
